Automotive Simulation Center - asc(s

NEC has a strong focus on the automotive market segment. NEC is a member of the asc(s.

The Automotive Simulation Center Stuttgart is a public-private partnership between OEMs, SMEs in the automotive industry and research institutes with a clear focus on Computational Engineering.

The asc(s was founded to support application-oriented research in the automotive field through the use of information and communication technology. In this context, the transfer of know-how from science to industry in the field of numerical simulation is the declared objective. For this purpose selected research and development projects as well as contract research will be conducted in order to develop new strategies for the reduction of CO2 emissions.

As research facility with the combined knowledge derived from members of industry and science as well as its own know-how, the asc(s assumes the automobile-related functions of the projects in the fields of simulation, verification and validation, therefore ensuring the industrial implementation of the developed simulation methods.
